Employee information management for Computer stores: records that follow staff across branches
When sellers and technicians move between branches, their records should move too. A store with several counters needs one clear staff file, or each transfer starts the story again.

Share your requirementsWhy employee information management matters in computer stores
A computer store with two or three branches often moves people around. A good seller goes to the new outlet, a technician covers a branch whose engineer left, a billing clerk shifts for a month. Files stay behind, and the new manager does not know the person's joining date, skills, incentive history or warnings.
There is also stock and equipment. A technician carries a tool kit, a seller holds a demo laptop, a field engineer has a company phone. When the person transfers or leaves, nobody can say what was handed over. One tidy file per person, with the same layout in every branch, fixes most of this.
How to set it up
1. Fix one file layout for all branches
Name, role, joining date, branch history, grade, skills, training done and notes. The same layout lets any manager read any file.
2. Record every transfer
Date, reason, from and to branch, new reporting person and any change in target or incentive. Both branch managers sign it.
3. Add skill notes
Mark which brands, repair types and billing systems a person handles. When a branch needs cover, the list shows who can step in.
4. Track issued items
List tool kits, demo units, phones and keys against the person, with a handover note at transfer or exit.
5. Review the files twice a year
Check for gaps, outdated roles and missing documents. The HR documentation process keeps the paper side tidy.
Check these first
Before changing anything, find out what is true today. These take an afternoon and use your own records.
- Open two staff files from different branches and compare the layout.
- Ask who currently holds each demo unit and tool kit.
- Check whether the last transfer has a written note from both managers.
- See if skill notes exist for each technician.

Questions owners ask
Keep a master copy at head office and a working copy where the person works. Only a few named people should see sensitive items. Confirm record-keeping rules with a qualified professional.
Talk early, explain the reason and say what changes in pay, travel and role. Write it down. A forced move without a reason often ends in a resignation.
Prevent it by tracking issued items from day one, with a signed list. At exit, check the list together. Ask a qualified professional about any recovery step.
