HR reporting and analytics for Cement Product Makers: curing logs, cracked batches and mould counts
Cracked products and damaged moulds are usually traced to a few causes. A batch log and a monthly count let you see them without a complex system.

Without a log, a cracked product is a mystery. Nobody knows who poured it, when it was stripped or how long it cured. Moulds are repaired when they fail, and nobody counts which crew damaged them. Owners guess at causes, and the same faults return each season. The aim is a routine the owner can read in one sheet and the floor can follow without a long meeting.
Good looks like a one page batch log: product, date cast, mould used, crew, strip time, curing days and any crack found. A monthly count shows cracked batches by product and crew and mould repairs by cause. The numbers are simple counts read with the yard supervisor. One fix is chosen each month.
How to set it up
1. Design the batch log
One line per batch with product, date, mould, crew, strip time and curing days. Keep it at the curing tank.
2. Make the curing attendant the keeper
The attendant fills in strip and cure dates, and the supervisor checks the log daily. Use real orders from this month, not examples.
3. Count cracks and repairs monthly
Total cracked batches by product and crew, and mould repairs by cause. See HR reporting and analytics.
4. Read the numbers with the crew
Show the count and ask what they see. Their view often finds the cause. Keep the wording plain so a new joiner can follow it.
5. Choose one fix a month
Pick one action, such as a second check before strip, and see if the count falls. Keep it on one sheet where the supervisor can reach it.
Check these first
Before changing anything, find out what is true today. These take an afternoon and use your own records.
- Count how many moulds were repaired or replaced last quarter.
- Look at the last batch that cracked and see if the log shows strip and curing dates.
- Ask the curing attendant how he knows a batch is ready.
- Check which product has the most cracks.

Questions owners ask
No. A printed sheet or shared spreadsheet is enough at first. Software can help later, once the counts show what you need.
The curing attendant for strip and cure dates, and the mould filler for cast date and mould. Keep it short or it will not be kept.
Look first at the process and product, not the person. Show that most cracks come from a few causes, such as early strip, and fix the cause together.
