HR reporting and analytics for Commercial housekeeping companies: a weekly view of sites that are thinning
With many client sites, the owner cannot see everything. A small weekly set of people numbers shows which sites are thinning before a complaint arrives.

Share your requirementsWhy HR reporting and analytics matters in commercial housekeeping companies
Housekeeping owners hear about problems from clients. A site is short, a team leader has quit, absence is high, and nobody told head office. The first signal is a deduction or a phone call. By then the cost is already there.
A small weekly report catches this earlier. It shows headcount against contract, absence, exits and new joiners by site, and how many posts were covered by relievers. Imagine a site with fifteen posts where three leave in a month: the report shows a drop in joiners-to-leavers, and the area manager visits that week. The report needs few numbers, read the same day each week.
How to set it up
1. Choose five numbers
Headcount against contract, absence, exits, joiners and posts covered by relievers. Resist adding more.
2. Collect them from one source
Use the attendance record, not separate lists from each site. One definition of absence for every site.
3. Read them weekly, by site
The operations head and area managers look at the same page on the same day, and note one action per thin site.
4. Add a monthly look at causes
Ask leavers and site leaders why people go, and group the answers. Look for patterns by supervisor or area.
5. Keep a history
Store each week's numbers so you can see whether a fix worked over a few months.
Check these first
Before changing anything, find out what is true today. These take an afternoon and use your own records.
- Ask each area manager what their site headcount is today and compare with the contract.
- See how absence is defined at each site.
- Check how long it takes to learn a team leader has quit.
- Look at exits by site over the last quarter.

Questions owners ask
No. A shared sheet and a fixed weekly routine are enough to start. The discipline of reading the same numbers each week matters more than the tool.
Area managers, the operations head and the owner. Site supervisors should see their own site's numbers, so they own the fix.
Treat it as information, not blame. The first run often shows how little was visible. Pick the one worst site, understand why, and work outward.
